Housing benefit reform: Housing Benefit Plus (Wohngeld-Plus) for two million households

Housing Benefit Plus will be increased by an average of around 15 percent from January 2025. That means around 30 euros more per household. Housing Benefit Plus will then average around 400 euros per month. Because the level of eligible rent and the income limits have increased, from 2025 households that were previously just above the assessment limits will now be entitled to the subsidy.
